The Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) is launching a new call for concept notes to strengthen international research partnerships focused on human health and sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR). The initiative aims to support collaborative projects between Swedish institutions and partners in low- and lower‑middle‑income countries (LMICs) or Ukraine.
Sida invites Swedish and international universities, as well as organisations with strong ties to Sweden and LMICs or Ukraine, to submit concept notes for upcoming research cooperation initiatives. The purpose of the call is to advance high‑quality research, reinforce research capacity, and increase research impact within the fields of human health and SRHR.
This call marks the first step in Sida’s process to identify two or more partnerships that may receive financial support. Concept notes should outline proposed research collaborations seeking Sida funding in the range of SEK 8–14 million, with an implementation period of 18–24 months. Projects must be feasible for implementation between January 2027 and December 2028.
