About

Sana Rouis Skandrani is senior lecturer and researcher in Information Systems, at Karlstad Business School at Karlstad University, Sweden since June 2019.

Born and raised in Tunisia, Tunisian and French citizen, Sana put on the practitioner hat before she developed into academia as lecturer and researcher in the technology management field.

In Tunisia, she first worked with project management answering tenders from the World Bank and European Commission, for development projects in Africa and the MENA region, and managing the missions for and with recruited experts. Sample projects include construction, IT infrastructure, and organizational restructure and change management.

Her research work has been twofold: First, understanding individuals’ usage and behavior on social media in different cultural backgrounds in developing and developed countries. Second, data management and data preparation, including big data modeling, for machine learning, as well as knowledge management at individual and organizational levels.

Research topics : inclusive disruption of social media, human capital development in society, agriculture and sustainable economic development.

Research context: Developing countries: Tunisia and Africa.

Sana also participates actively in developing quantitative research methods courses and seminars at undergraduate, graduate and doctoral levels.
