Micaela Wannefors is a doctoral student at the Department of Peace and Conflict Research, Uppsala University. Her research focuses on de-escalation dynamics and prevention of armed conflict. Micaela is a former research assistant with the projects ViEWS and Ceasefires and the dynamics of violence in war zones and was previously coordinator at the Uppsala Rotary Peace Center. Before joining the department, she worked at the Embassy of Uruguay in Stockholm and at the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs.
