The 8th Joint Nordic Development Research conference (NorDev) will be held at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU) on 24-26 September 2025. The conference is organised by NMBU, with the support of the university’s Global South Working Group, and the Norwegian Association for Development Research (NFU).
The theme of the conference will be: “Solidarity, social justice and sustainability”: Nurturing academic-civic solidarity, fostering social justice, and cultivating collaborations in an era of uncertainty.
Call for panels:
The organisers recently opened a call for panels. The call is for panels, roundtables and other side-event. Those interested can send a one-pager to . It should include the following information:

- Abstract/description
- Format
- Conveners/chairs
- Possible contributors/paper submissions
The deadline to apply is 24 January 2025. The call for abstracts will be announced shortly thereafter.
