On 24 September 2024, Lund University is hosting a PhD Conference on Sustainable Development to encourage interdisciplinary collaboration to advance academic research on sustainability. The conference is organized by the Agenda 2030 Graduate School at Lund University and is intended to be a space to share ideas, learn, and explore. The theme for this year’s conference is “Societal transformation and the University“.
“Work on questions relating to sustainable development at universities is about shaping the future or contributing towards societal transformation. How knowledge production can contribute to a different tomorrow is, however, far from clear or uncontested. This year’s theme invites participants to “dig where they stand” with a view to highlighting plurality, difference and imagination on the topic of how work at universities can contribute to societal transformation”.

Dates and venue
The conference is a full-day event on 24 September 2024 at the Faculty of Law, Lilla Gråbrödersgatan 4, Lund. The conference will take place in person, i.e. there is no possibility to participate remotely.
Participation
All who are interested in the program are welcome to register, but priority will be given to PhD students at Lund University. To join the conference, please register here. The deadline to register is 16 September 2024.
