The Nordic Africa Institute (NAI) has recently opened its applications for a scholarship in 2025! The scholarship offers a 1-month stay at the Institute to facilitate the access to its extensive library collections on contemporary Africa while also supporting the connection to existing work at the Institute through NAI research hosts.

The scholarship programme is opened to Master students, as well as PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers conducting research on Africa in Social Sciences or Humanities. Candidates, regardless of their citizenships, must also be based in universities and research centers in Sweden, Finland, Denmark and Iceland.

The scholarship includes, among others, the travelling expenses to and from Uppsala, an office at the Institute, free accommodation and a daily stipend.
