Welcome to Uppsala Africa Days 2026 – a two-day conference bringing together researchers and institutions to share and explore ongoing work related to Africa. The event will explore contemporary African research and collaborations, offering a unique opportunity to engage with ongoing work across disciplines and regions.
Uppsala Africa Days 2026 will take place on 21-22 May 2026 in Uppsala, at the Evolutionary Biology Centre (Ekmansalen). The event is jointly co-organised by Uppsala University (UU), Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU), and the Nordic Africa Institute (NAI).
The conference brings together three key institutions working with Africa-related research and education. It offers a great opportunity to learn more about ongoing research projects, collaborations with African universities and institutes, and current topics within the field.
The programme will include presentations from senior researchers, early-career scholars, and invited speakers. Divine Fuh will deliver the keynote address from the University of Cape Town.
