On 22 September 2025, the International Federation of Psoriasis Associations (IFPA), together with Devex, will be hosting an event on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA 80) under the name “Psoriatic Disease and NCDs: Putting Lived Experience at the Heart of Policy”.
About the conference
IFPA, based in Stockholm, Sweden, will spotlight psoriatic disease at the upcoming UNGA 80 in New York, where world leaders are expected to adopt a new Political Declaration on noncommunicable diseases (NCDs), mental health and well-being.
This global gathering brings together health leaders, experts, and policymakers to shape the future of NCD prevention and care. As a part of this advocacy initiative, IFPA organises a high-level conversation in partnership with Devex on the sidelines of UNGA 80.
This Devex-IFPA conversation will spotlight why inclusive policymaking matters, how psoriatic disease connects to the broader NCD agenda, and what it takes to mobilise allies across government, advocacy, and health systems to ensure lived experience moves from the margins to the centre.
The session will feature Frida Dunger, Executive Director of IFPA, and Kate Reynolds, IFPA ambassador, living with psoriatic disease. The speakers will share powerful perspectives on why lived experience must move from the margins to the centre of global health policymaking.
The event will be held in person and online.
