The Expert Group on Aid Studies (EBA) is hosting a seminar in Stockholm on 26 May focusing on current development challenges in Southeast Asia. The event brings together new research on migration, human trafficking, and media aid, based on three recent doctoral dissertations.

The seminar will highlight youth migration from Myanmar to Thailand, efforts to combat human trafficking in Thailand and Cambodia, and Swedish media development interventions in Vietnam. Together, these perspectives shed light on how development cooperation can respond to complex social and policy challenges in the region.

In addition to presentations from the researchers, the programme includes expert commentary from Sida and a panel discussion on the implications for policy and practice.
