The Department of Built Environment and Energy Technology (BET) at Linnaeus University is offering following two multi-disciplinary courses at PhD level in autumn 2023. These courses are part of Linnaeus University’s ongoing project SEED (Sustainable Energy Engineering Doctoral program), financed by Vetenskapsrådet.
The courses targets students working in Swedish universities with sustainable development issues in developing countries.
Sustainability Assessment and Policy Evaluation, 6 credits
The aim of this course is to impart knowledge on sustainability assessment criteria processes and tools; sustainability evaluation and its contributions to policy-making, designing policy-relevant indicators for Sustainable Development, research and policy interface and evaluation of policy development from sustainability perspective.

Diffusion of innovations and sociotechnical transition, 6 credits
The aim of this course is to impart knowledge on diffusion of innovations and the sociotechnical transition process, and intervention strategies to facilitate diffusion of innovations.
