Regenerative development and its implications in the cattle sector for sustainable land use

This webinar is a collaboration between Comfama, Acoganar, Sosty, Agroparque Biosureste, Bioeconomy Graduate School and Agenda 2030 Graduate School at Lund University, Focali and SIANI.
The cycle of seminars invites a series of panelists to present and discuss the response to the need to transform the regions of Colombia into competitive, democratic, and sustainable regions, from the recent political transition of the country, where new spaces are opened the discussion on the Rural Reform (RRI) agreed in the Peace Agreement represents a future road map for the sustainable management of land, water, biodiversity and people’s livelihoods.
This seminar will present the exchange of knowledge of experts, about regenerative development and livestock practices in the different regions of the country. The discussion will address how regenerative agriculture is looking to change the paradigm to change production practices, agroecological principles, ecosystem conservation, natural restoration, rotative pastures and non-selective feeding, urea fermentation, emphasis on soil restoration: forage with sufficient resting time, full grazing, as possible components of a path towards sustainability.
The webinar will be conducted with English and Spanish translation.
